P.S. I love your blog! I'm in the midst of applying to FIDM and your blog has brought to my attention the great..and not so great aspects of FIDM. I have a question.. would you say that most applicants get accepted? Especially the ones that don't require Scholarships,Financial Aid, etc.?; January 10, 2010 at 11:49 PM

To answer your question, I'll be honest. YES. FIDM gets A LOT of applicants, I'm sure. And to be quite frank, they accept most of them. There's no real requirement to come here. Honestly, what the admissions people look for is that you have the passion to succeed here... and that you'll work hard. Many of my friends came here with no real sketching or sewing skills and now they can make me fabulous gowns! It's great. Don't worry. Show your admissions advisor that YOU BELONG here and you have no problem getting in here. And one other thing they'll make sure if that you can PAY for college. Just FYI.
